INFORMATION CONCERNING ADULT VACCINES:
NOTE: Prices are always subject to change due to price changes from the drug companies. Please call to get current costs.
Td – Tetanus, Diphtheria: Series of three or as booster dose.
Tdap – Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis: 1 dose – 19 – 64 yrs. Call concerning price & availability.
Hepatitis B: Series of 3 doses - 19 years & over.
Hepatitis A: Series of 2 doses - 19 years & over.
MMR – Measles, Mumps & Rubella: 19 years & up – 1 or 2 doses.
Gardasil – HPV Vaccine: Series of 3 doses -- 19 – 26 years.
Zostavax – Shingles Vaccine: 1 dose – 60 years & older.
Varicella – Chickenpox: Series of 2 doses – 19 years & over. Call for price & availability.
Pneumovax 23: 1 dose on or after 65 years of age or prior to age 65 years with certain medical conditions.
Menactra – Meningitis Vaccine: 1 dose --19 years – 55 years.
Influenza – Injection: 1 dose - 19 years & above.
Influenza – Nasal Flu Mist: 1 dose -- 19 – 49 years (healthy & without medical conditions).

WHEN:
Mondays – 8-11 AM & 1-3 PM, by appointment only. Must return to the Health Department on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday (48 – 72 hours after test performed) to have the test read.

Regular children's immunizations are available at Paulding County Health Department. CLINICS: MONDAYS -- 8 - 11 AM & 1-3 PM – Excluding holidays, by appointment only.
LATE CLINICS – 1st & 3rd Mondays of each month – 8-11 AM & 1-6 PM – Excluding holidays, also by appointment
A parent or legal guardian must accompany child. Another adult can bring child for immunizations with written permission from the adult/guardian.
MUST bring immunization record book each time
Bureau For Children with Medical Handicaps (B.C.M.H.)
An insurance and case management program for families with children with certain medical health care needs.

B.C.M.H. is designed to assist families with children with special health care needs. Through the diagnostic and treatment programs, families are linked with quality care providers and receive assistance in paying for medical care of eligible children. Locally, the Health District serves as the family's community contact to access BCMH services.
Eligibility: Children under the age of 21, who are residents of Ohio are under the care of a B.C.M.H. approved physician and have a chronic, physically handicapping condition are eligible.
Purpose of Program: Identification and referral of children with potentially handicapping conditions, client advocacy, and assistance to families. Coordinated services are accomplished through BCMH field clinics and Public Health Nurse home visits.
How to get Help: Call the Health District and ask for the BCMH nurse at 419.399.3921. If you need help from the Ohio Department of Health BCMH Office, you can also call the Help Me Grow Help line at 1-800-755-GROW (4769) and ask for the call to be transferred to BCMH Division.
Additionally, the Health District provides help to parents by referral and free developmental screenings through the (HMG) Help Me Grow Program at 419.399.3921.

Nurses are available Monday through Friday to do Blood Pressure Readings. Prefer Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays 8-11:30 AM & 1-3:30 PM.

Safe Communities
The Safe Communities program focuses on lowering the incidence of traffic safety injuries to the general public. In cooperation with local police departments, surveillance and traffic safety education for Paulding County communities occurs throughout the year. The use of seat belts and decreased driving speeds are strongly encouraged.

Walking is a form of physical activity/exercise in which almost everyone can participate and benefit. The 10,000 Steps Program affords various walking for people in the Health District. It is a cooperative effort with the Paudling County Health Department and Ohio Department of Health. All participants must register and will receive a packet of information.
